Hello! My name is [NAME] and I am a JAX Summer Student this year. I study [MAJOR/RESEARCH] at [EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION], and this summer I have been working with [PI] as a mentor and focusing on research around [TOPIC].

-Why is it important to have Highseas as a home for the summer?  
-What is your favorite memory of the summer so far?  How do you think or hope this experience at JAX will shape your future plans?

  • You can record directly to ThankView on your desktop or mobile device.
  • Make sure to film horizontally so you fill the frame.
  • When recording with a phone or tablet, use a tripod or prop it up with something like books for stability. 
  • Keep your device close for good sound quality but far enough away that you are the focus. Try 3-4 feet.
  • Choose a location that provides balanced lighting. Try to find a room that has a lot of natural light.
  • Record with the window facing you so you benefit from the natural light. If the window is behind you, you will appear shadowed.
  1. Select ‘Record Video’ to begin the process
  2. Enable your webcam.
  3. Click ‘Start Recording’ and wait for the 3 second countdown.
  4. When you are finished recording, click ‘Stop Recording.’
  5. Wait for your video to upload to our servers.
  6. Click the play button to review your video. If you are not satisfied with your recording, you can click ‘Rerecord’ and try again. If you are satisfied with your recording, click ‘Submit Video’.
  7. Accept our terms and conditions to complete submission.
  1. Select ‘Record Video’ to begin the process.
  2. Click ‘Record Video’ or ‘Upload Video’. Please wait for your video to upload to our servers.
  3. Click the play button to review your video. You can rerecord or upload another video if you are not satisfied with your recording.
  4. If you are satisfied with your recording, click ‘Submit Video’ and ‘Continue’ to accept our terms and conditions and submit your video.
